Bedraggled lorrikeet looking for shelter on our balcony after night of rain, and a drake goes for a waddle on our lawn at high tide....

So beautiful and low or high tide. We've just had the full moon so the high tide yesterday covered the edge of our lawn and part of the floorboards of our somewhat sloping boatshed. When the tides begin to turn, we see the moored boats on the Bay being a little ambivalent for a while, and then they gradually over the next 12 hours rotate 180 degrees.

I hope you're not sick of the jacarandas because, as you can see, I'm not. (Besides, I haven't taken a today shot, and this was conveniently in my photo library.)

A lovely day at Sculptures by the Sea in Bondi with friends Joan & Sue. We were fueled by a big brunch at the Gelato Bar and it
was just the perfect morning/afternoon, including the weather. Isn't the mermaid adorable....
