Oh, man, isn't that just beautiful, the sparkles and all.

Today I felt as sparkle-less as can be...a sleep-deprived night that even a bath, yoga practice, and convivial breakfast didn't impact.

That's my story!

There's something v. gorgeous about our old boat shed. Here you see at at almost full tide, which washes up inside the shed because of the 15 or so degree rake on the building. (Makes getting the boats down the ramp easier.)

At this time, our landlords seem to be offering us an extra six months in Paradise, beyond our 2 yr. lease. What do you think we'll do?

In yesterday's evening light (the last day before coming off daylight savings) the rain finally broke and slashed across the Bay. It made the water look very flat with splotchy grey tones. Since doing my art course, I wonder how I would paint those patches. No, I wonder more how I would mix the colours....

I think this one should qualify for a guessing contest. What phenomenon is this?

I guess you could call these two images Beauty & the Beast.

On our morning walk, Daniel & I came across "the beast", properly named "Pteropus poliocephalus" and commonly miscalled a flying fox. Quite dead, on the power lines. You might notice there minute holes in the bat's leathery wings which be a aeronomic adaptation or maybe just accidental.

Nothing to be said really. (Ooh, there, I've ruined it!)

So wistful, so romantic...the mist was all gone with sun-up....
Yesterday we heard that there may be the option of staying in Tambourine Bay for one more year beyond our lease.
I feel so very grateful!

Ce sont des schémas du mien de la classe d'art de nuit passée.
Most of these were done in 2-3 minutes timings each, except for the last one.

The Harbour Bridge wind chimes. Fancy that. I think there are speakers above them. I don't know how long they've been there but I never would have noticed them if I hadn't been walking across the bridge in the 75th anniversary celebrations yesterday.

Gavin, Diane, & Bob at dinner on Saturday night. A real hamburger'n'sausage bar-b-que, served up by Daniel.
Eleven of us all total for the meal and much hilarity....

Hooray, at last I was able to get my photos uploaded. With my computer guru's help, of course.
These two are from around 7am.
I've been in gear all of this week for a photo shoot that's meant to happen tomorrow arvo. Lots of muscle toning, abs, triceps, biceps. Does this mean I'm shallow@
Only trouble is that rain is predicted, or at best overcast.

Working out some poses for a photo shoot that's happening at the ville on Saturday....

As Daniel and I dined al fresco, we were visited by the greedy lorikeets and a kookaburra. Daniel took the silouetted image of the lorikeets....

Following my penchant for the beautiful reflections dripping into the Bay, here's today's view....One such photo I took a while ago was the subject of my first acylic/ink/painting. I've discovered painting makes me look at things differently, that our "normal" way of looking is mechanical and we usually see what we expect to see. That's humbling, isn't it?

The end of a very busy week. We left the ibises to their own devices and went off to the movies to see "Bobby", a movie that has everyone in it. 22 characters lives unfold to show a day in the Ambassador Hotel, actually the day leading up to the assassination of Bobby Kennedy. (I was the City of Angeles that day, living in Redondo Beach with first husband Jeff.)

Amazing sunset this evening, and many wading birds enjoying a rich cornucopia of mud food.

Here are Jeremy & Peter before the family left to continue their journey to Canberra and parts farther south.

Last night it rained all night. Beautiful. I was worried that it wouldn't be good weather for Peter and Jeremy to go out paddling and then the weather cleared and it was fine. They went across the Lane Cove River.

I taught what I thought was a great class this morning at 10 o'clock. This was after being debilitated last night, my neck, shoulder, shoulder blade PAINFUL. Now all is back to normal. Where did that come from?

Daniel and I were down at Wooloomooloo yesterday to see overseas visitors Niall and Rene.
"Harry's Cafe de Wheels" is a landmark of this area, a kind of glorified version of what would be a hot dog stand in the U.S.
Harry's specialty is a pie floater, or so I've heard as I've never dined at this particular establishment.
Rene, wife of Niall, is a very pretty twenty-something-year-old who is working at making it in films.

Last night these two handsome yogis, Jeremy & Daniel, were showing their poses.
Can you tell which one is the almost-six year old?

Today and yesterday, such a difference in the atmosphere.
Actually for a little while yesterday morning some low fog rolled in and then rolled out, and that made our bay look like Camelot.
The main thing isn't the look of it, however beautiful and changing. The thing is the feeling that our place evokes and being open to receiving it. In this sense my photos, my meditation on place are a yoga-like practice. It's all about energy....
