Small-fry kayak training up at Pittwater on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately a speed boat came by and through one of the kiddies into the water, where he was fished out pretty quickly....

The beautiful "Gissie M", 80 ft. charter yacht owned by Shirley's brother Alan, and used over the last several years to transport wealthy tourists 'round the Australian seas.

Favourite students (and teachers) from our post-practice Xmas yoga breakfast....

Sunday, January 11, 2009

Remarkably all of the women from our women's group showed up when we met right before Xmas. It was a heart-warming night, and also exciting, as a lightening bolt crashed down just outside the sliding glass doors to Gabrielle's balcony. Fortunately we weren't in her pool at that time!

Our beautiful Island view....

Thursday, January 08, 2009

I'm back! Mitchells Island was lushly green and yummy. This image, however, is from the flying fox sanctuary at Wyndham....a rain forest habitat that is called a maternity camp. The bat mothers get to produce and rear their young safely and the numbers swell from a few thousand to 50-100,000 in the breeding period....I'll post a second image in the next installment.
